Earthquake Hits Sicily, Aeolian Islands, Causing Rockslides

Aug. 16 (Bloomberg) -- A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit north-eastern Sicily and the Aeolian Islands causing rockslides and injuries, according to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology and the Civil Protection Agency.

The island of Lipari was hit hardest, and there were some reported injuries after the temblor caused rockslides onto a beach popular with tourists, Ansa news wire reported. The area, which is a popular summer vacation destination, hosts one of Italy’s three active volcanoes on the island of Stromboli. The quake happened at 2:54 p.m. Rome time.

I almost mentioned this (see below) yesterday when I pointed out the Greek link because Helen was very connected to the Mt Etna volcano in N.E.Sicily and synchronicity connecting specifically to the name Messina. Today's quake happened at Lipari Messina. At the time that the Messina synchronicity happened she went to Pompeii. -

Naples was preeminently the capital city of a kingdom which bore its name from 1282 until 1816 in the form of the Kingdom of Naples, then in union with Sicily it was the capital of the Two Sicilies until the Italian unification (1861).

 Today's quake is 168 miles from Naples.

Italy's three big active volcanoes are all close to today's quake.
There is only a short stretch of sea between Messina and Naples.

For the record I will mention the fact that my old friend Glen's birthday was the day before Cate's, August 22nd.
According to Pliny both dates (Glen's and Cate's) were involved in the Pompeii disaster, this is the Sauniere key -
